In 2027, the city will reconstruct Interlachen Boulevard from Blake Road to Mirror Lakes Drive. The city's Capital Improvement Plan states that this project will include a shared use path for bikes and pedestrians. We believe that a shared use path puts cyclists and pedestrians in conflict. Rather than a shared use path, Interlachen should have a sidewalk and a cycle track. According to the project's website, the final design will be complete in November 2026 and a public hearing will take place in December 2026. Early input is critical to ensuring our voices are heard.
